FRETTE PRESENTS ITS INAUGURAL CAPSULE COLLECTION OF ORGANIC & SUSTAINABLE BED LINENS

From materials selection and dyeing expertise to fabric finishing and packaging, special care and consideration have been dedicated to each stage of the creative process to deliver a 100% organic collection that celebrates Frette’s heritage, craftsmanship, and commitment to quality.

INSPIRATION

The hallmark of the Spring Summer 2023 Collection is Naturalismo, Frette’s first 100% organic, sustainable bed linen capsule. Having drawn from nature for the past 160 years both to realize their craft and as this season’s defining source of inspiration, Frette now looks to the future, dedicating focus on how to weave sustainability into their legacy. The utmost care was given to each stage of the capsule collection’s design process, drawing from Frette’s defining innovation, craftsmanship, and commitment to quality.

THE MAKING OF NATURALISMO

Organic cotton is harvested to ensure an optimal balance of strength, softness, longevity, and comfort.

The cotton is then cleaned using sustainable methods (no artificial chemical agents), dyed, and spun into yarns ready for weaving.

Organic yarns are dyed prior to spinning, allowing for greater absorption and saturation of color.

Naturalismo yarns are dyed using an exclusive dyeing process employing organic, dried poppy petals and no chemical agents.

Yarns are expertly woven to form cotton sateen bed linens and detailed with a simple hem finish.

In celebration of Frette’s inaugural 100% organic linen collection, the House has partnered with One Tree Planted, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation, to donate 10,000 trees for planting in the Mexican Monarch Butterfly Habitat.

This is one of Frette’s first steps toward reducing its carbon footprint and weaving sustainability into their legacy.
